This Dish is a Work of Art 🎨

Reader, I’ll be honest–
It’s not that I don’t like the adage, “You eat with your eyes first.”
It’s just that, between you and me, when I’m hovering over a delicious plate, I’m less “thoughtful museum-goer taking in a nuanced masterpiece” and more “slightly-crazed food enthusiast with her fork halfway to her mouth.”
In other words, I’m all for a beautiful meal, but I’m digging right in.
And believe me, she's as fun to eat as she is to look at: forkfuls of tender rice noodles in a limey sweet and sour sauce along with crispy fried tempeh nuggets and a fresh carrot-cabbage slaw, finished with a delectable dollop of tangy-sweet peanut sauce.
This summery noodle salad is, without a doubt, a work of art.*
* Just for the record, I’m not saying this noodle salad is on par with the Mona Lisa. But I am saying that if Lady Lisa had eaten this noodle salad before sitting for her portrait, she’d be wearing a much bigger grin.
Love this for you
⌨️ How I Type At 160 Words Per Minute
As someone who's suffered from bouts of carpal tunnel over the years, I'm always looking for ways to make my work station more ergonomic.
For instance, I ditched the standard keyboard for this weird-looking keyboard and this cool, vertical mouse. (Use these together and you’ll feel like you are piloting a spaceship in a sci-fi blockbuster, trust me. 👩🏽🚀🚀🌚)
But the biggest game changer to my set-up recently has been a new app called Flow.
It’s the software I’ve been using to type over 160 words per minute… without actually using my keyboard.
Here’s the deal: simply press one button on your keyboard and speak to your computer as you would a friend. Instead of Siri mangling your words, Wispr Flow outputs exactly what you said, including your desired punctuation, deleting 'ums,' and editing your mistakes without you even asking.
Whether you’ve suffered from carpal tunnel, think Siri is Satan’s daughter, or just want to get your work done faster, you'll love Flow.
Check it out here. I like it so much that I upgraded to the paid version recently but they have a free version you can use indefinitely!

Nothing makes me happier than hearing that y'all loved a recipe!
Nisha’s recipes never miss and this is no exception. 5 stars, totally delicious and easy too. My husband said 10/10, said it should be added to the "Mt Rushmore of food we make at home", lol. Will definitely make again and again and again!

Today, I'm sharing what I actually eat in a week (at least, when I'm not recipe testing). But first, we need to discuss my partner Max's only red flag. 🚩 His only red flag Sixteen years ago, when I met my partner Max in law school, I discovered he had one red flag: he hated peanut butter. 🚩🚩🚩 Not only did he hate eating it, he insisted the smell alone made him gag. Since I was practically living off peanut butter as a student, I would eat my PB&Js in the dead of night, like a raccoon huddling...
Exciting news—at the end of this email, you can enter to win a free, year-long subscription to New York Times Cooking!!! But we have some time-sensitive business to attend to first, on account of Thanksgiving (somehow?!) being 2 weeks away. 😱 Today, we’re talking about the iconic duo that kinda makes Thanksgiving Thanksgiving. And by that I mean mashed potatoes and gravy. But make them extra delicious. If you’ve ever thought these dishes were impossible to veganize, think again! My Seriously...
by Nisha Vora Tomorrow’s my birthday(!), and every year around this time, I like to reflect on the past year: the highlights, what I’d like to work on, and the challenges. And this year I've been thinking a lot about how I can continue my career—one that I love SO SO much, thanks to all of you—in a world where AI is becoming increasingly prevalent. Across Google, social media, and Pinterest, there are hundreds of thousands of recipes stolen, reworded, and regurgitated by AI chatbots. Chatbots...
